WristScan "You all and me" from 29.01. - 31.01. is lifting off now!

By: COUNT DE MONET : January 29th, 2021-07:23
Dear friends, I would like to use the occasion to host wrist scan to ask you all for your expert and exquisite suggestion for my next watch: What watch from your collection will suit the Count? You are totally free in your suggestions as I like all materi...

Guess it is not of prices but the fact of finding a correct and authentic watch when playing the vintage game. The Ranchero is a watch I had been hunting for a long time...

By: Subexplorer : January 30th, 2021-06:29
... and several years ago I "almost" captured one very similar to yours. I took to my friend watchmaker to check it and he made me return it as soon as he took the case back off. Very nice outside it was a Franken mess of parts its movement. And the dial ...

Ouy

By: hans_jorgen_1968 : January 31st, 2021-02:48
That was sad. And imho it is more the reading up, finding the small details, having dialogue with experts the hunt that is the greatest part of the vintage game - and probably also why I am mainly leaning towards vintage. With the rarity, having a few din...

Absolutely agree with you Hans! Hunting for...

By: Subexplorer : January 31st, 2021-04:00
... an specific vintage model requires a previous study of the piece we are looking for. Reading about reference, movement caliber type, small details and comments made by other owners in internet or books makes things easier and allow to detect anomalies...

This will suit you perfectly dear Count ...

By: Cpt Scarlet : January 29th, 2021-07:45
But you will need more than this one to satisfy your needs ... Something to go with it ;-)) .,, ...

Aaaaah, dear Captain 😃

By: COUNT DE MONET : January 29th, 2021-10:31
You know that I love this RD! This one Le the complete calendar version of it will surely find the Way into my collection. 🥃🥃 ...

I’m sure that you enjoy it....

By: Cpt Scarlet : January 29th, 2021-12:09
I need to think of something else for your consideration. Beat regards The Captain

That’s a superb suggestion dear Captain!

By: Subexplorer : January 29th, 2021-14:57
Fitting of being worn by a Count!! Not bad the drinks to celebrate it!! Hagwe my dear friend!

Does your collection...

By: NT931 : January 29th, 2021-08:32
Lack a watch with a jumping hour? In that case may I interest you in a watch with jumping hours, retrograde minutes, and a salmon guilloche ? ...

Well, the Count is on the pulse of time, since the Count has embarked on a new career in day trading.

By: COUNT DE MONET : January 29th, 2021-12:32
Needles to say that I detest these criminal, anarchsistic mob 😀. I Hope the FBI will sentence them to prison for market manipulation 🤣. Cheers to you Art! My favourite bourbon ... ...

You are twisting the knife in the wound, my friend 😀

By: COUNT DE MONET : January 29th, 2021-10:44
You also know me well, that I have a keen interest in movements and technical watches. Superb array!

I am quite interested in the latest freak version

By: COUNT DE MONET : January 29th, 2021-12:39
It is"lighter" in design and more reachable in terms of price., if I recall all correctly. Need to look into it again.

I feel you are not making things easy for our dear Count Nicolas!!

By: Subexplorer : January 29th, 2021-15:02
Do you expect an easy choice here? Or may be you are shipping all of them to the Count? Lol! Superb selection my dear friend! Let’s see what dear Moritz prefers! Abrazos amigo mio!! Abel

Nice and original theme Count, though I suspect that by the end of the weekend you'll be making (or accepting) offers left and right! ;-)) Let me suggest a couple of pieces too, though they are not for sale :-)

By: FabR : January 29th, 2021-09:56
The first is a Gondolo 5124 with salmon dial -- I think it combines a good degree of elegance and liveliness, also thanks to a flashy red Patek strap my AD put on when I bought it (not to mention that the current market price for this model is probably do...

You hit the nail!

By: COUNT DE MONET : January 29th, 2021-11:03
I am ruminating for quite some time about the Pam with this California dial. However the green dial Pam is also quite appealing ... Regarding your 5124: I love the Gondolo line and a salmon dial with Breguet numerals make it perfect!

Ahh! Hhat Gondolo with the the salmon dial...

By: Subexplorer : January 29th, 2021-15:05
... and the devilish red straps!! If the Count keeps the 249 Cali I keep the Gondolo!! ))) Sublime dear Fab!! Hagwe! Abel

It’s a serious oversight..

By: Cpt Scarlet : January 31st, 2021-07:07
Hopefully with the support of our community, we can rectify this situation. ;-))

Uuuhuuu .... That is a lovely, lovely little Longines 😍

By: COUNT DE MONET : January 29th, 2021-11:07
Time only and vintage design with a broad bezel: very nice. And: The blued second hand is really twisted: nice detail. Congrats to it!

Well, well, well... what a challenge dear Moritz!! You are a man...

By: Subexplorer : January 29th, 2021-10:31
... of great taste and judging for the opening shots and other watches shared in your previous posts you have all corners well covered. Let’s see what our friends suggest and let me check my own watch box and think what I can suggest you from my own colle...

Thank you, dear Abel: glad you like the theme.

By: COUNT DE MONET : January 29th, 2021-11:10
There are sooo many watches in your collection that I adore, it will be an easy task for you. Looking forward to your suggestions.

My pleasure dear Count!! And thank you so much for your so kind...

By: Subexplorer : January 29th, 2021-14:26
... comments and compliments! I wish you’ll approve my suggestions in my next post in this thread! Cheers! Abel

I want to be straight: I want your watch!

By: COUNT DE MONET : January 29th, 2021-12:23
Out of reach at the time but still in very high ranking in my phantasy! A top tier colllectible Breguet ... My whisky tip for you: An eight year peated Whisky from Islay from Lidl. Herr in my area for 15.50 Eu ... THE best value for money in the whisky wo...

Beautiful selection of watches , great taste dear Count

By: Watchonthewrists : January 29th, 2021-12:41
Can i suggest a nice Indie like this DeBethune DB27 Or this great Kudoke K2 Hope you will find something amazing 🤗 HAGWE ...

You are so right: I am ready ... no .... I am overdue for an independent

By: COUNT DE MONET : January 29th, 2021-12:50
What is stricking about De Bethune in terms of design is, that they manage to fuse futureristic design with a strong romantic touch. The movements from them are from out of this world and for a guy like me, who puts also an emphasis on collecting movement...

I surely noticed this one 👍

By: COUNT DE MONET : January 29th, 2021-13:28
Have to go into the details though ... I need more spare time for watch education 😭

Here's a rare and unconventional one for your consideration. The first automatic Speedmaster Professional, the Chuck Maddox "Holy Grail" Ref. 376.0822

By: BigAppleBill : January 29th, 2021-13:15
This one eluded the late Chuck Maddox, a legendary collector of Speedmasters, for years. It was a very small production. Chuck's use of the term "Holy Grail" in referring to a desired watch is noted as a first. If you're interested in learning more there'...

Now we have got lift off 🚀

By: COUNT DE MONET : January 29th, 2021-13:45
I worry it will be in reach or traceable,, but thank you for bringing it to attention and for the link!

No worries at all, my friend!

By: BigAppleBill : January 29th, 2021-13:55
But it’s definitely "in reach" of your stated budget range and "traceable" as it's all correct with solid provenance and extract from the Omega archives.

That’s a challenging task here... hummmm 🤔

By: Mike H : January 29th, 2021-13:45
Some are gone for rationalization of the catalogue purpose, Some do not fit the value constraints and would be eliminated, Some have to go and thus cannot be shown here as they will be on the Collector’s Market shortly Thus it is not as easy as it could a...

Count, I'm pretty sure this watch is up you alley... L&H Georg in RG with enamel dial.

By: Tim Jackson : January 29th, 2021-14:28
It's a classically designed rectangular case, that houses one of the most inspired calibers I've had the pleasure to enjoy in many years. I sold my other L&H Johann of 11 years enjoyment to get this piece and have zero regrets. It is arabic numerals, whic...

No, no, nooo Tim!

By: COUNT DE MONET : January 29th, 2021-14:41
You are killing me! 😀 You know that I love this movement and the watch. I want to give others to come a fair chance but is this the winning offering? What a significant entry!

Here are my offerings from my collection dear Count!...

By: Subexplorer : January 29th, 2021-14:28
If you don’t own an Speedmaster yet I would offer the new Ed White with the magnificent 321 visible through its transparent case back I also agree with our friend Fabr that a Panerai would be a great addition to your collection. The Pam 249 Cali is a grea...

Congrats to your Ed White, dear Abel.

By: COUNT DE MONET : January 29th, 2021-15:01
I noticed it last week, that you got it: a must have Omega for a collector of your caliber. Well, besides the Ed White, I would also consider the Radiomir 190, as I like the concept of 8 days power reserve. Not saying that I do not like the Seamaster Worl...

Thank you so much my dear Count for your kind comments and I´m glad you approve my suggestions. Agree with you that the EW321 is a collector´s dream.

By: Subexplorer : January 30th, 2021-06:17
Glad you liked the Pam 190 as well. Thank you for your hosting and a theme which will bring many entries and awesome shots and watches along the weekend my dear Count! Cheers! Abel

Good choices for the Count ...

By: Cpt Scarlet : January 30th, 2021-02:28
He will definitely need at least one Speedmaster in his collection and the new Ed White would be an excellent choice.

A Reverso is surely missing: good point!

By: COUNT DE MONET : January 29th, 2021-15:06
Funny, I saw that Omega Alarm in the window of the shop, where I got my Futurematic. It was gone too quick ...

Aaaah, yacomino: the first two are right up my street.

By: COUNT DE MONET : January 29th, 2021-17:53
I hope I can add a WG Auf und Ab one day to tue collection . It is a very elegant Lange and yet technical Your green dial Pam is growing in me ... The tourbis break the bank, in this life 😀.

Truthfully, Count, your tastes are so wide, verging on the point of eclectic, that . . .

By: Dr No : January 29th, 2021-19:51
. . . you're difficult to shop for. However, I may have found your watch. Esharp posted an 1894 Homage earlier this week on our Omega forum . . . . . . that happens to be for sale. It is (1) a manufacture watch with (2) a vintage Omega cal 269 movement ca...

I certainly saw Esharp's Omega 😀

By: COUNT DE MONET : January 30th, 2021-02:26
You know me also quite well, dear Art. This 1894 could very well be the next one to get, with being 36 mm in particular. To own the same Omega like you would also mean a lot to me. Great tip!

Given the many amazing suggestions made so far,

By: Time to watch : January 29th, 2021-22:39
I feel any further contributions will be somewhat futile. However, here are two of my suggestions, beauties in their simplicity. Breguet classique 5140BB white gold And the Lange Saxonia 37mm thin rose gold The twist in my suggestion is, that for half the...

Very well thought ideas, Thornteq.

By: COUNT DE MONET : January 30th, 2021-02:35
A 36 mm Saxonia instead 40 mm is the right suggestion. The 5140BB is possibly the pick, if I should go for an enamel dialed watch. Very nicely played!

great theme

By: donizetti : January 30th, 2021-00:17
seeing that you can wear smaller watches very well maybe you would like the CS in 38mm? Best Andreas ...

That is a very interesting entry, dear fernando.

By: COUNT DE MONET : January 30th, 2021-02:42
An eyecatching watch, in a very well proportioned size. What is the reference of this G Shock?

I will suggest something a little different: a repeater, with chronograph and a clean, charming dial.

By: toxly347 : January 30th, 2021-02:52
In my opinion a pocket watch would complement nicely your collection. Vintage. Mechanically interesting. Definitely wearable as a top dress watch. And it will not break the bank account. ...in case you have not yet found inspiration with the great selecti...

Aaah, there it is, the first pocket watch

By: COUNT DE MONET : January 30th, 2021-04:46
It is one of my biggest regrets: I saw a minute repeater pocket watch in a shop and tested it. Went home to do some research about the watch,. Next day it was gone 😥. Very smart suggestion.

That´s a wonderful suggestion Jaccard!! Nothing more appropriate and classic for a Count! And with your name engraved!! That´s very interesting...

By: Subexplorer : January 30th, 2021-06:53
... I missed the opportunity of owning a Longines pocket watch with minute repetition complication several years ago. Still can´t forgive myself for not closing the deal. Beautiful choice! Keep enjoying it so much. Hagwe! Abel

Thanks Abel

By: toxly347 : January 30th, 2021-07:06
Too kind. I think part of the Mediterranean lifestyle is to lose count of the minutes. Counting quarters is polite enough. Hagwe

That is the Freak, I had in mind.

By: COUNT DE MONET : January 30th, 2021-04:50
I will have to compare both generations in derail again, but I lean towards this latest version. The VC tripple date and SkyDweller would also fit also very well into my collection 😀.

I think I get your point about the Freak..

By: S F : January 30th, 2021-19:23
How not to “derail” in your decision when it comes to the 2 gens of Freak? Get both? We can count on you doing that 😂😂

Right on dear Abel..

By: S F : January 30th, 2021-19:23
The SD was a surprised offering, discrete design and unique operation. Enjoy your Sunday my friend!

Hmmhh, dear Count.. Let me see how to play..

By: hs111 : January 30th, 2021-08:04
JLC Memovox Blue Boutique Edition Vintage pleasure: JLC Chronometer Geomatic Polaris Geographic A way to travel the world with this friendly complication Maybe a time for an Indie: O & J Moon Geophysic Universal Time Another Vintage - Omega Railmaster...

Very wise ideas, dear hs: hard to pick one, two one even three from them.

By: COUNT DE MONET : January 30th, 2021-08:41
If onky two then your lovely CK 2914 and the Tribute. Speaking of which: maybe we will have a Purist's anniversary piece some day soon? HAGWE, dearest hs!

Thx for your kind looking, Moritz and the nice words !..

By: hs111 : January 30th, 2021-08:55
And Yes, some sort of a Purists’ GTG or such are nice perspectives for a hopefully not too distant future. Yet currently, we all have to hang in and stay strong !.. Again, greetings for the remainder of this WE and the week to come ! Best, to you

Wow dear friend HS!! You don’t make things easy for...

By: Subexplorer : January 30th, 2021-19:44
... our Count! So many beautiful options together... Well ... we always have my old saying: When in doubt, best option is going for all of them! Hagwe my friend! Abel

Thanks to you dear friend HS for your kind message!

By: Subexplorer : January 31st, 2021-04:03
As I have told before it is always my big pleasure to view and read your posts and to comment them as well. Let’s keep enjoying our collections and of course looking and hunting! Have a nice Sunday my friend!! Best! Abel

Can I borrow it, too?

By: COUNT DE MONET : January 30th, 2021-09:04
The second pocket watch ... I think I am a "pocket watch man" . Movement and dial look fab!

A Sinn makes all pilot watch collection complete

By: COUNT DE MONET : January 31st, 2021-07:21
I am sure one Sinn will be in my collection, either a Flieger or a diver: great value for money. The ZRC is very interesting. PS Nice Gucci horsebits, on the fourth picture.

I‘m a bit late to this party but...

By: mrds : February 1st, 2021-14:53
I just wanted to congratulate you to this DB15! An outstanding PC we don‘t nearly see often enough. Thanks for sharing it here! Daniel
