Last night I attended a cocktail party organized for Montblanc customers where the new 2016 products were shown. It's quite similar to the event Ken attended in Tokyo so you will see similar products and pictures from my post - hopefully with a different angle.
For me, it was a feast for the eyes and senses to finally see the 2016 novelties, especially the new 4810 collection.
the party was held in the old Aston Martin showroom in Singapore - this part of Singapore has converted into nice event halls . I was happy to bring my 1858 Tachymeter Chronograph along for the event, along with a blue tie, blue Montblanc belt and blue shoes
A typical Montblanc Villeret watchmaker's desk. With Julien Miribel at the helm of course.
A feast for the eyes to see both the Montblanc Villeret Tourbillon Cylinderique Geospheres side by side! The red gold version and the white gold Nightsky version. Both of these were launched in 2015.
The Montblanc Villeret ExoTourbillon Rattrapante launched back in 2013.
Ah the new 4810 ExoTourbillon Slim in red gold. This is the regular production model and priced very attractively for a Tourbillon in a gold case.
And here we have the limited edition 4810 ExoTourbillon slim in white gold and a very attractive lacquered miniature painted map. Limited to 38 for Asia, 36 for Europe and 36 for America making a total of 110 to celebrate Montblanc's 110th anniversary.
My favorite being based here - the Asian version
The 42mm 4810 ExoTourbillon slim on my wrist.
I quite like the movement of the ExoTourbillon slim with the micro rotor
Another shot of the ExoTourbillon Slim movement - from the front
The 1858 collection in blue.
The new 4810 Orbis Terrarum. The dial looks livelier than the previous Heritage Spirit Orbis Terrarum.
The 4810 Orbis Terrarum pocket watch in steel limited to 110 pieces.
Another new pocket watch - the very exclusive Villeret Tourbillion Cylinderique Geospheres pocket watch
Good to see this one again! The Timewalker ExoTourbillon minute chronograph launched in Singapore last year by Jerome Lambert.
Some other pics I took last evening:
There are some watches which were shown at the event with no restrictions on photo taking but Montblanc displayed a launch / embargo date later in the year. I don't really understand this practice but will honor the embargo rules even if I suspect some customers or bloggers would have posted these pics on Instagram or Snapchat already
There was even a professional snake charmer last evening with a python with him and guests were invited to touch and hold the well trained python. I am a wimp so I didn't try that :p
Hope you enjoyed the virtual tour I shared here
Cheers
Robin
