New Jaeger Lecoultre Duometres. Some thoughts.

I had the good fortune to be a guest of JLC at Palexpo and tried all three models. I own the previous model Chronographe. The new models - shown below - were all nice in their own way, but not a giant leap forward. The blue dial was not to my personal tas

oh dear duometre

You may recall seeing my post upon my new (to me) Duometre Chronograph arriving last Wednesday. I wound the watch Wednesday and Thursday without issue. It gained 1/2 seconds over that 24 hour period. When I wound the watch Friday, I heard a concerning noi

Summer strap changes

I spent the morning changing out the straps on some of the watches I’m planning on wearing this summer. The after market straps for the Duometre, Langes and DB came from Camille Fournet, mostly Taurillon calf and all have caoutchouc linings. The strap for

New (to me) Duometre Chronograph LE

Hello from my new Duometre! This one has always been on the radar but with the recent Duometre releases, my interest was renewed. There is not much to say that has not been said already, this wears very well for the 42mm size, and the matte dial is really

Duomètre - PART IV - " THIS IS THE END " - My feelings following the official launch - JLC master of recycling.

First, your write up is well presented and covers a few of the flaws. In some ways I like the case. The curves make it almost like a Ressence branded watch. It helped a bit with the size. The crown shape doesn’t impress me - I prefer the older version. Th

Lange German Silver movements.

I read that Jaeger Lecoultre preferred to give up with German Silver for the Duometre movements, which are now made in brass, because it was not qualitative enough... Well... When I see that: I still wonder who will complain about german silver movements.

New Jaeger Lecoultre Duometres. Some thoughts.

I am with the old line: it has much stronger identity, it is much more a Jaeger to me, it is the Duometre for me. The new models could be an other manufacture’s product for me, I don’t see Jaeger itself. I love everything in the old line: the masculin lug

New Jaeger Lecoultre Duometres. Some thoughts.

To me they are a very welcome refresh to the Duometre line. Some people were missing the discontinued original Duometres. They have launched a new one, with (IMO) a better / slimmer case visually, more elegant. The case thickness should not be compared di
