Sorry for the Parm overload, but here is a fresh shot of mine.

Damn, like a sledgehammer over the head.  I'm still floored with this watch.

I love its monochromatic looks!

By: Chronometer (aka yacomino) : April 22nd, 2024-22:17

And yet they seem to have nailed the legibility šŸ‘ŒšŸæ.

Other brands should take notes

I must admit I am on the fence for legibility until I can see them in the flesh. The pictures looks great but I would be worried in real life with tone on tone handsā€¦maybe others could chime in as well

I would love more contrast between the dial and hands

I really have 0 issue quickly identifying the hands in all lighting conditions.

 By: MichaelC : April 22nd, 2024-22:36
Of course, if you need to read in the dark, there is no lume, so that would be a no-go. But otherwise, the high polished hands and markers do jump off the dial.

Thanks for the comment Michael. This is really good to know as I actually find several of their reference highly desirable šŸ˜Ž

I think you will know for sure after seeing them in person.

 By: MichaelC : April 23rd, 2024-02:37
And I hope you find them satisfactory!

I hope so too!

By: Chronometer (aka yacomino) : April 23rd, 2024-08:28

For me, absolutely. No issues.

 By: MichaelC : April 22nd, 2024-22:34

Fantastic then!

By: Chronometer (aka yacomino) : April 22nd, 2024-23:25

Me too. Sort of rare these days!

 By: MichaelC : April 22nd, 2024-22:34

Whoa, great shot. It captures the dial wonderfully unlike my crap cell phone pics.

 By: M4 : April 22nd, 2024-22:19

Just a lucky capture. I usually snap a few at once and hope for a good one.

 By: MichaelC : April 22nd, 2024-22:38
This photo shows the dial it its lightest state, as you probably know well by now!! I also love when it gets darker with a small roll of the wrist.

Thank you :-)

Nice to see just the logo without superfluous text on the dial šŸ‘

I'm totally with you on this point. And it fits the brand's "quiet luxury" mantra.

 By: MichaelC : April 22nd, 2024-22:51

One of the best designed watches, with high-quality finishing throughout, from any brand, including some with astronomical price tags.

 By: Emil Wojcik : April 22nd, 2024-23:21
Again, I am envious.

Yes, I concur with you.

 By: MichaelC : April 23rd, 2024-01:02

Mike you're breaking my " " please I can't take anymore:))))))))))))))))))

 By: aperna : April 22nd, 2024-23:53

Not my intent! In my defense, give some blame to M4 and the others too.

 By: MichaelC : April 23rd, 2024-01:04
Maybe I had a little to do with fanning the flames, but I have not yet taken to a daily PF post!!

Got me looking not too!

Not gonna lie, all this Parm overload has me researching them some more...Thanks for sharing!

This is a tough Community for sure. But also the BEST!

 By: MichaelC : April 23rd, 2024-02:38
Keep us posted, Sir.

They got me too! Just when I thought I was outā€¦šŸ¤£

But I like what Iā€™ve been learning. A short interview of the CEO where he describes the focus on understated luxury is accurately reflected in their design language. I particularly like the way he describes Michaelā€™s Rattrapante.
Iā€™m just curious where this brand has been all this time, unless this is a revival of sorts under new management. Iā€™m still learning about the brand.

Yes, these are very dangerous guys. ;)

They have been around a while. The PF Tonda line is really gaining traction for them.

 By: MichaelC : April 23rd, 2024-12:46
I have been very close for the past 3 years at acquiring one. The Tonda GT chronographs almost got me, but there was always a detail that held me back. Extra writing on the dial, the style of a counter hand, the color of a date disc, etc. In older days of buying, I overlooked these kinds of details. I am much more particular now.
The brand relaunched the Toric collection this year. There are some FABULOUS older models that can be found at reasonable prices, although I suspect the overall attention on this brand will bolster the secondary market too.
But I do feel Parmigiani's overall quality and level of finishing is second to none, and even on the older pieces - many of which have polarizing, quirky details - these traits are quite apparent.
Happy shopping!

Have already shared these photos but hereā€™s what I believe represents the earlier PF ā€œpolarizing, quirky detailsā€ you mention.

Tonda Metrographe from between 2014-2016 if I remember correctly. Bought mine last year sometime. These have a very love-or-hate look. I love mine. The new Tonda line has retained the basic lug shape and the new bracelet has a similar yet more elegant look. Itā€™s no longer a love-or-hate model, just love. Iā€™d love to own one of these new releases someday.

Mine on the original bracelet, and as I now wear it, now on a strap.

Yes, a great example of what I was referring to!
