The solid caseback is both tempting and restrained in a sort of rebel way. Metally more pleasing than visual.

To my knowlegde the refrences with solid yellow gold caseback are: 101.001, 101.002, 101.011 and the 151.001.

The strap is not worn too much, but seem dry. Maybe some leather/alligator treatment would do it good.
Perhaps! Looks good to me. I was referring to the grain of the alligator on your strap...
Lange used that smaller grain on its older straps, and the larger, more rectangular "bamboo tile" grain on later straps.
