Breguet Type XX Platinum, Salmon.

An old shot of my Type XX Platinum Salmon, gone for a couple of years now, but not forgotten.

If only it didn't have this date... I would have kept it.

Best,

Nicolas

That one and the blue dials are superb

Oh and "our research shows that watch owners really want a date" haha

" Our "? Theirs! :)))

 By: amanico : March 16th, 2024-10:46

That is correct

I mostly prefer watches without a date but if there is one… it doesn’t bother me too much
But it is a fact that the big majority prefers to have a date. So if it were my business I would also make what most clients want.

My blue dial says hi
Not platinum but white gold case and bracelet

Another nice one. But there was also this one...

No date!

In steel I believe

 By: Bruno.M1 : March 16th, 2024-18:36
Right ?

Yes, this one is in steel.

 By: amanico : March 16th, 2024-21:33

Yes, if only the salmon were dateless like this one. And T Swiss T!

Wow. How many of this blue one were made?

1000.

Very cool this salmon dial version

Thanks for looking, mon ami.

 By: amanico : March 16th, 2024-18:16

Nice but the two register vintage one for me please

 By: nasseriq : March 16th, 2024-12:06

Ok. ;)

Dates are so hard

 By: E in PA : March 16th, 2024-12:32

I can only agree, especially for this watch.

 By: amanico : March 16th, 2024-18:16

This is one of those watches that brightens up your day…

 By: ZSHSZ : March 16th, 2024-12:44
Big mistake to part with itwink))

Well, the date killed it a bit...

 By: amanico : March 16th, 2024-18:16

A beauty. Presence of a date should perhaps not be the only criterion of choice

to purchase or part  with a watch.

Sure! But the date spoiled my pleasure, a bit. It took me 16 years to take the decision to part with it.

 By: amanico : March 16th, 2024-18:17

Superb. I never thought this would go

 By: agyzace : March 16th, 2024-13:28
I am sure for good reasons though. Thanks for sharing my friend!

Gracias!

 By: amanico : March 16th, 2024-18:17

I cannot believe you let this one go.

 By: jlux : March 16th, 2024-16:38
For me one of the most beautiful Breguet's from the last 20 years.
To say it with Greta's words : "How dare you ...."   smilesmilesmile

The date which makes a big and disgracious hole in this superb dial.

 By: amanico : March 16th, 2024-18:20

If I had known, I would have purchased the watch from you !

 By: jlux : March 16th, 2024-19:06

Too bad. But I will part with some others... ;)

 By: amanico : March 16th, 2024-21:26

Oh no, the date really kills this one for me.

 By: clemens m : March 16th, 2024-20:39
I have nothing - absolutely nothing - against a date complication when it is well executed and doesn't look like an afterthought. This is evident on SO many newer watches - everything is fine but then when you move your eyes down to the bottom half of the dial the date window sticks out like a pimple and just throws off the whole harmony of the design. Like a beautiful woman with a perfect body but a weener swinging around down there - ruins it for me... wink

Very well said. I totally agree with you on your thoughts about the date.

 By: amanico : March 16th, 2024-21:26

Love this iteration, mon ami! However . . .

 By: Mach : March 17th, 2024-14:17
IMHO The white background makes the date window stick out like a sore thumb! I believe a matching date wheel would have maintained a more symmetrical appearance. Then again, that hole in the dial would still annoy you! Merci, mon ami!🥂

True, you have a point. But without date, it would have been a keeper.

What material was the dial made out of?
