Patek Philippe World Time Chronograph 5930 and 5935.

A spectacular picture of the P: Even though I prefer the dial of the G: Unless I go for the slightly bigger 5935A: I must admit that the small chronograph counter disturbs me a bit, but that despite this reserve, I am tempted... Best, Nicolas ...

I agree G looks best here

And similar to you, not a fan of the small oddly placed chrono. Seems like an afterthought additional complication. I must admit, the 5230p has really been tempting me. Love the blue guilloche.

I totally agree with what you're saying here.

The blue befits this dial design immaculately well........

5935A for me!

I think the small chrono counter is proportional to the inner dial. Hopefully some day.

The G and A looks good, P is a little too much for me....

The small chronograph counter...well, for you to time how fast you run in between layovers in Airport

LOL

:))))

 By: amanico : March 12th, 2024-05:53

I’m surprised by how many people are bothered by the small counter.

 By: ArmisT : March 11th, 2024-23:42
It is small and blends in enough with the 24 hour ring that I am not bothered. Otherwise it is a compelling piece.

+1

Thank you.

I feel it provides some cohesion with the dark accents of the dial while also allowing the salmon to really shine.

Precisely! πŸ’―

If I am lucky to get allocated, then this would be my immediate move.πŸ‘πŸ½

Hummmm, lucky you!

Let’s face it…

 By: mdg : March 12th, 2024-02:02
…30-minute counters are kind of pointless : )

14 seconds? :)))

 By: amanico : March 12th, 2024-06:30

From the Omega Silver Snoopy 45th anniversary watch.

 By: ArmisT : March 12th, 2024-08:12
In reference to the Apollo 13 mission where they had to time a critical fuel burn, specifically 14 seconds

 By: amanico : March 12th, 2024-23:12

i had the watch for a few months...

 By: Peter : March 12th, 2024-10:45
...and it had to go because i could not get my head around the smallish ill-placed after-thought-ish chronograph counter. also the dial should be guilloche' not stamped.

it is a valid point...

 By: Peter : March 13th, 2024-07:06
...but i easily fall out with watches. on the plus side the 5935A is a steel patek with a serious complication. there are not many of those in the current catalogue outside the naut-aqua range. the two other ones (5212A, 5905 1A) have (even) much less app...

Patek stamps dials now?!? For god sake bring back the old man...

 By: enjoythemusic : March 13th, 2024-19:51
...or better still someone who truly understands what PP **should be** in quality and design. Time for new leadership imho.

i agree....

 By: Peter : March 13th, 2024-20:19
...here we have a steel WT-chrono with stamped dial that should look like hand-guilloche and old caliber for 60K euros. obvious design issues included in the package. man....this is getting crazy. i'd love to know how many of those they have sold. 100? i ...

Sales numbers does not matter, NONE... PP is devalued as a brand nowadays imho and continues in their downward trajectory. It truly is saddening and maddening.

 By: enjoythemusic : March 13th, 2024-20:27
Plus no one believes the 1960's 'Holy Trinity' marketing efforts has any meaning 60 years later in 2024, as so many better products are now available. Hopefully Patek Philippe offers their new Connoisseur Series soon. It's what PP should be and evolved in...

A new business plan showcasing PP values true handcraftmanship.

 By: enjoythemusic : March 14th, 2024-01:29
It would include cutting overall output by 50% for typical mass-produced models, and reallocation of the other 50% to produce at most 25% (four times the number of craftsmanship hours). i'd prefer 10% output of the 50% 'remainder' versus 25% allocation as...

Please understand my friend, it is said out of compassion and love.

 By: enjoythemusic : March 14th, 2024-20:23
PP could truly be more imho, yet when I see so many others far exceeding in various ways. Tho with sales so strong, why change anything? No need to try something truly extra-ordinary.

Yuo have a point...

Ummm … πŸ€” …how
