My dear friends, First, an apology, I received this masterpiece last November and have only just got round to making a posting. Sorry! I first clapped eyes on it at the 2022 W&W. Oh God! I thought, how am I going to afford this one, how am I going to tell...

It's a deeply....

Also kudos on your choice of a spouse. 140k chf would not get past my Canadian wife!

She chose me!

By: ant : April 30th, 2024-20:05
I did not have any choice but to submit! I'm pleased that she did. Kind regards, Antony

Thank you

I am indeed a lucky man, I don't know what I did to merit it! Kind regards, Antony

It is that

By: ant : April 30th, 2024-20:09
I am sure that we will be seeing a lot more in the future. Kind regards, Antony

Your wife deserves a watch for her kindness :-)

Otherwise, this FB is to die for and I'm truly happy for you. On my end, the only thing that I can afford to compete with you is to purchase a €12 entrance ticket to the Musée des Arts et Métiers (Museum of Arts and Crafts),10' away from my place in Paris...

Excellent museum for any lover of horology!

More than one helical hairspring there Still wish I could hold and observe the FB in person! Congrats

Maybe you are looking

By: ant : April 30th, 2024-20:30
into the future of KFS's Berthoud? What amazing clocks. Just a small point, I hope that you didn't see my post as competitive in any way. There is huge merit and interest in vintage, off the beaten track, horology. Kind regards Antony

From an aesthetic

By: ant : April 30th, 2024-23:38
and wearable POV, I agree. The FB1 and FB2 are obviously a cut above in pure horology, but I'm very content with the peasant model! Kind regards, Antony

I agree

By: ant : April 30th, 2024-23:31
but they are only warming up! I think that there will be ever more remarkable pieces in the future. Kind regards Antony

A real grail, congrats

The movement architecture, finishing, and everything about the watch are just perfect. It's nice they are backed by Chopard too, as you know you can get it serviced later

Exactly!

When I saw it, and heard 42mm my heart sank. In the event, because of the short lugs, it is great on the wrist. Kind regards, Antony

Yeah, honesty is the best policy

By: ant : April 30th, 2024-23:35
.....most of the time! Thanks for your kind wishes, I hope to enjoy it for many years. Kind regards, Antony

First of all, great pics of a great watch. There are so many things that make the brand FB stand out of the crowd. Their work is consistently brilliant. Magnificently conceived and created.

The finishing is consistent and brilliant. These do not come cheap but they are very much worth every penny or farthing. No truer words about KFS. The Mr and Mrs are humble and dedicated to being honest to themselves and to their brands and their consumer...

Good morning Mitch

It is indeed one of the best if not the best time only watch in the market at present but unlike you, I do not have the deep pockets to be able to afford one unless I do sell those lovable creatures in my collection. Lucky you that KFS presented you the w...

G'day Sham

I handed the Only Watch version of FB3, at Christie's before the auditing brouhaha, and thought the movement was just wonderful. Like WONDERFUL: who wants to make features of historical clocks WORK work? The only weakness in the Only Watch example is its ...

All agreed

By: ant : May 1st, 2024-17:33
